CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Mask: Series 2

Product image: CurrentBody product page.
The CurrentBody Series 2 is a flexible silicone LED mask with 236 LEDs and three wavelengths: red (633 nm), near-infrared (830 nm) and deep near-infrared (1072 nm).
Sessions take 10 minutes. The brand highlights a chin strap for jawline coverage, a multiway strap, a clip-on controller and optional eye inserts so you can read or watch TV while wearing it. The FDA record shows a 510(k) clearance for it (K250966).
Its 1072 nm wavelength is uncommon among the masks we list. Available third-party measurements disagree: one test reported 18.5 mW/cm², below the brand's 30 mW/cm² claim. See the measurements below.

"FDA-cleared" means we matched this product to a 510(k) record: the FDA cleared it as substantially equivalent to an existing device for its labelled use. FDA clearance is not FDA approval, and a listed specification isn't proof that a device works. How we check FDA status.
Terms on this page
- nm
- Nanometres, the unit for a light's wavelength (its colour). Red light is roughly 620–700 nm; near-infrared is above 700 nm.
- mW/cm²
- Milliwatts per square centimetre: how much light power reaches each square centimetre of skin (irradiance).
- 510(k)
- The FDA premarket notification route. A cleared 510(k) means the FDA found the device substantially equivalent to one already on the market. It is not FDA approval.
