How GlowSpec makes money

This page explains how GlowSpec makes money now and how it plans to in future.

In short

Today, the only way GlowSpec earns anything is our Dermstore referral code, KRISTIN-R59U. When a new customer uses it, GlowSpec's founder earns Dermstore store credit.
Other store links are not affiliate links yet. Product links go directly to the retailer's product page, without tracking.
GlowSpec plans to earn money through affiliate links. If we join a program, we'll list it on this page.
Commissions don't change what we show you. Sponsored newsletter placements will be labelled "Sponsored".

Our Dermstore referral code

Some device pages show our Dermstore referral code, KRISTIN-R59U, next to Dermstore prices.

What you get: new customers get 15% off their first Dermstore order with the code.
What we get: GlowSpec's founder earns Dermstore store credit when a new customer uses the code.
What it is: Dermstore's customer referral scheme. It is not a paid affiliate program.

The "Get the code" link next to the code is the one link on GlowSpec that carries our referral code. It goes to Dermstore's referral page. You can read Dermstore's referral terms there.

Product links

Other store links are not affiliate links yet. Every product link on GlowSpec, including links to Dermstore product pages, goes directly to the retailer's product page without tracking. We don't earn anything when you click one or buy through it.

Affiliate links in future

GlowSpec plans to earn money through affiliate links. With an affiliate link, the store pays us a commission if you buy after clicking, at no extra cost to you. We aren't in any affiliate program yet. This page will be updated if GlowSpec joins additional programs, and it will list each one.

What money doesn't change

Commissions do not affect the prices, specifications, measurements or FDA status we show, the order devices are listed in, or any future rankings. Brands can't pay to change their data.

The Device Drop newsletter

Any sponsored placement in the Device Drop newsletter will be labelled "Sponsored".
