Hair-growth LED & laser devices

Hair-growth devices are helmets, caps, headbands and combs that shine red light on the scalp. We compare device type, light source, diode count, wavelengths, session times, warranty and guarantee terms, prices and FDA status, when available.

LED devices use light-emitting diodes, which spread light over a wider area. Laser devices use laser diodes, which produce a narrower, more focused beam. Some devices use both. More diodes, more wavelengths or a higher price don't by themselves mean better results.

Thinning hair and hair loss have many causes, some of them medical, so see a dermatologist before buying a device.

"FDA-cleared" means the FDA cleared the device for its labelled use. It isn't FDA approval, and it isn't a promise that the device will work for you. Results aren't guaranteed. Any results usually take months of consistent use, and brands' money-back guarantees have conditions, so read them before you buy. GlowSpec makes no claim that any device treats hair loss.
