Omnilux Contour Face

Product image: Omnilux product page.

The Omnilux Contour Face is a flexible LED mask that shines red (633 nm) and near-infrared (830 nm) light on your face.

Omnilux says its 132 LEDs sit in 66 dual-chip bulbs, so you get both wavelengths at once. The brand says it's designed to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles. Omnilux also says it meets the IEC/EN 62471 eye-safety standard and that goggles are optional.

It has fewer modes than many masks here, which keeps it simple to use. The catch: its claimed power (about 30 mW/cm²) is modest next to some rivals, and IrradianceLab hasn't tested it yet.

FDA statusBrand says cleared
Brand and retailers describe it as FDA-cleared; we have not yet matched it to a specific 510(k) number in FDA's database. Older Omnilux 510(k)s exist (e.g. K030426).
FDA record or source

"Brand says cleared" means the brand or a retailer says it's FDA-cleared, but we haven't matched this exact product to a 510(k) record. FDA clearance is not FDA approval, and a listed specification isn't proof that a device works. How we check FDA status.

Terms on this page

nm
Nanometres, the unit for a light's wavelength (its colour). Red light is roughly 620–700 nm; near-infrared is above 700 nm.
mW/cm²
Milliwatts per square centimetre: how much light power reaches each square centimetre of skin (irradiance).
510(k)
The FDA premarket notification route. A cleared 510(k) means the FDA found the device substantially equivalent to one already on the market. It is not FDA approval.
