PlatinumLED BIOMAX 600

Product image: PlatinumLED product page.

The PlatinumLED BIOMAX 600 is a 35-inch panel with 200 LEDs and seven wavelengths, from blue 480 nm through red to 1060 nm near-infrared.

PlatinumLED pitches it for standing half-body sessions. It has digital touchscreen controls and a simple remote, plus optional mounting systems and stands sold separately.

It's narrower than the BIOMAX 900 (8.66 vs 11.81 inches) and lists seven wavelengths, more than most panels at its price. More wavelengths don't by itself mean better results. The brand claims 129 mW/cm² at 6 inches, but we haven't found a third-party measurement of this size.

FDA statusNo clearance found
Brand says 'FDA Class II medical device made in an FDA-registered facility'; registration/listing with FDA is not the same as a 510(k) clearance. No 510(k) found in FDA's database by brand or product name.

"No clearance found" means we found no matching record in the FDA's database. That doesn't prove no clearance exists. FDA clearance is not FDA approval, and a listed specification isn't proof that a device works. How we check FDA status.

Terms on this page

nm
Nanometres, the unit for a light's wavelength (its colour). Red light is roughly 620–700 nm; near-infrared is above 700 nm.
mW/cm²
Milliwatts per square centimetre: how much light power reaches each square centimetre of skin (irradiance).
510(k)
The FDA premarket notification route. A cleared 510(k) means the FDA found the device substantially equivalent to one already on the market. It is not FDA approval.
